Viking introduced professional cooking to the home when their first range shipped in 1987. Now that same exceptional performance extends into every corner of the kitchen - even the backyard. Refrigerators. Wine Cellars. Dishwashers. Grills. Cookware. Cutlery. Small appliances. It's enough to turn any cook into a chef.
When people think of Viking, the bold, commercial look of the Professional Series range is the image that most likely pops into their heads. Ultra-premium features like high-performance burners, convection baking, and infrared broiling easily handle everything from crème brûlée to rack of lamb. The legendary Viking range is available in gas and electric models, as well as an array of sizes and finishes to fit any kitchen.
And for those who want professional performance without the professional look, there is the Designer Series. Clean lines and contours meld gracefully into cabinets with style, offering a striking new look for Viking. Fully equipped with outstanding features and power, this complete line of built-in products doesn't sacrifice any of the world-renowned Viking performance for fashion's sake. Haute couture meets haute cuisine.
Viking doesn't see the kitchen as a collection of products, but a complete cooking environment. Cooking isn't a chore - it's an art form. Everything must work together in form and function. Both the Professional and Designer lines deliver the ultimate in performance with a cohesive look for the kitchen. Each line offers a full range of products, so you don't have to resort to mixing and matching brands and styles. Viking offers the truly consistent ultra-premium kitchen. Let me start by saying I would never waste my time here on Earth writing about a dishwasher UNLESS it happens to be the worst dishwasher I have ever bought or used in my entire lifetime! This machine needs a proper Viking burial at sea immediately. I bought a forclosure last year and had to put hard earned money into every corner of my home. The neighborhood is upscale so I decided to splurge a bit on the kitchen and go Viking since the home is open concept and the appliances are visible when you walk into the home. Okay....so why is it the worst? Same as other reviews....Noisy....very noisy...let alone paying extra money for Viking and getting noise! Now I can handle a little noise for a bit....but this machine runs for well over an hour and doesnt get any quieter nor does it clean very well at all. I must pre rinse AND lightly scrub dishes BEFORE putting them into what they call a dishwasher. Then the other problem....stacking dishes in the rack is awful! Space is very awkward on the lower part. The upper part for glasses is useless....It does not securely hold the glasses in place causing ALOT of breakage. Never had any problems with ANY other machine.....until that is I decided to "upgrade" to a Viking. Another reason....smelly....this unit starts to smell of stale water if left closed for longer than a day. I can only think its because it does NOT dry dishes properly at all....as others have said before my review. Oh...another reason....poor quality steel.....it is incredibly flimsy! Okay...this is why I dont write reviews....its getting too long....so briefly....my other Viking appliances get a "B", the dishwasher an "F-".....my opinion, buy another stainless brand since just because its not Viking doesnt mean it will ruin the continuity of the kitchen. Im selling/dumping mine....whichever comes first....buying a Viking emblem, then stick it on my next non-Viking dishwasher. Save your money! Believe the multiple bad reviews! This can happen to you! Thanks for reading...and by the way....NEVER buy dark wood floors!
They show every piece of dirt ,dust ,crumbs ,pest control bug spray EVERYTHING! Thats another review for someone else to write. Now back to my life!

I already own a viking dishwasher that I am happy with, but it was purchased several years ago and did not seem to be available. This model is inferior on many counts. It is quite noisy, really not acceptable. It has limited settings, and most oddly, does not dry the dishes properly. It does look nice, but that is about it. Do not buy this product.

Louder than a bosch
doesn't dry dishes nearly as well
Door seems more flimsy and flexes when you don't pull it from right in the middle.
The Bosch was under $1000 when I bought it but we moved into a new home where this came in as a new dishwasher. The tech has been here direct from Viking and he basically said it won't dry plastic dishes. We have small kids so we have to put the plastic dishes and sippy cups out on a drying rack after the wash cycle is over. Just what we needed--one more thing to do!
I am selling this three month old machine and going back to Bosch.
