We needed the small units to fit into our space. We vented this out the side to conserve on depth. We had a gas dryer previously and was worried we wouldn't like an electric dryer as much, but gas dryers are deeper and wouldn't fit. So electric it was. The washer works so well and gets so much water out you certainly don't need a fancy dryer. I don't have any complaints about this one. Sometimes the fitted sheet gets all balled up. I haven't noticed this effecting drying time, because Dry time is generally pretty quick, although I'm sure it does a little. But that wouldn't stop me from recommending it as the matching dryer.

We needed a 24 inch stackable for a small space. There are not many to choose from but we chose this GE after reading other reviews and consumer reports. It has not disappointed, been in use about a month. It holds a surprisingly large load, multiple options, doesn't vibrate, pretty quiet, and overall a winner.

I bought this dryer and matching washer to be under counter in my kitchen. I absolutely love it!!! Because it is smaller than a regular machine, it takes a little longer to dry - maybe an extra 10 minutes. The interior size of the drum is surprisingly large so it completely accommodates a normal size load. I have even been able to fit a full comforter inside. We are a family of four with 2 boys involved in sports, so trust me there is a lot of laundry in our house. Using this smaller machine, we are doing the same amount of loads that we did before with a much larger machine. There are other machines on the market at this size that are so much more expensive and my machine works so well, I don't know why anyone would want to spend the extra money. There are multiple drying modes so you can do delicates, have your clothes come out extra dry, etc... The only thing I wish it had is the ability to tumble clothes after the load is done so I don't need to fold right away. We've been using the dryer for 3 months now.
