I purchased this Scottsman ice maker for an ice maker we purchased in 2004. The origional ice maker stopped working last year and after two attempts (and a lot of money) I decided to purchase the same ice maker. (The origional was white, which I preferred) When considering a new ice maker, I decided to go with the overall cost to determine my decision. I did not need a stainless steel ice maker because I was placing the machine in my garage and appearance is not a factor. I did spend the extra money because I like the clear ice and the large amount the unit makes. It does take a long time to initially fill the machine.
Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase of the product and VERY pleased with my purchase from AJ Madison. I will be a loyal customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hemisferio A perfect delivery!
I had ordered this product on three separate occasions from another company. Each time the ice maker and box looked as if it had been in a battle. Things were broken, dented, the box in tatters. My order with AJ Madison was delivered quickly, without a glitch, in perfect condition, and works like a charm. I would order from them in a heartbeat!

I have owned this same icemaker for ten years and this is a replacement for one that is actually still working. The companion refrigerator died and so I replaced them both

I have been through 3 of these machines in 6 years. All three machines broke within 15 months of purchase. I had them repaired and then a few months later they break again. The second breakdown is always "sealed system" related which is not guaranteed and costs about $800 to fix. Nice ice, but be prepared to pay around $600-$700/year for the ice
