We live in an apartment in NYC. We looked long and hard for a vent for our recent kitchen renovation and found the vent a hood ARS at one local show room, and then went to their regional supplier in NJ for a real look.
There seems to be no others with a system like ARS.
Installed easily. The filter alone weighs 20 lbs (not some flimsy carbon screen).
AND - it really works. We have an electric stove top (no gas here). The vent draws well and is quiet, well lit, and after two months with normal cooking, including pan-seared steaks, no grease on our walls. Easy to clean. Nothing comes out the top except fresh air.
Highly recommended when you cannot duct.
