After 15 years with an Amana the refrigerator died, and it was time to step up. I considered Sub Zero and Liebherr and settled on Liebherr because of the french door option and they seemed to be as well built as the Subzero for less money. I have not been disappointed. After we resized the cabinet, it installed easily and worked like a charm (after we figured out how to get it out of "demo" mode). It is silent, makes great ice (in little cubes not the "slices" of my old machine) and has been very efficient on the electric bill. I suspect a lot of the negative reviews on other sites are from SubZero which, I am told was so threatened by this brand that they demanded that retailers pick one or the other. I'm glad I picked Liebherr.

Handsome, solid refrigerator freezer. The design minimizes the amount aisle space required.

I've only had for a few weeks, so I'm still getting used to it. The freezer is small, but I do have another freezer.
You really can't stand up 2 liter soda bottles.
I love the little ice cubes. If you're on the short side, I would not consider buying this fridge.

I do like this fridge - although it is really different and took a bit of getting used to. The freezers are a bit small and the ice maker takes up a lot of room but I feel very positive about it.
