It is inconspicuous and yet very efficient. Sleek...you would not expect such a powerful hood in such a small package.

I purchased this per recommendation from a showroom I visited explaining to him that I do alot of stir frying.
It's overall pretty quiet, but expected it to perform better.
I do alot of stirfry, and thought this would be as powerful as some of the asian hoods. Looks better, but not as powerful. I'm sure it would be great for any other style of cooking.
It would be nice if the two fans were more in the middle rather than far back. I believe they put it towards the back because oil drains to two containers.

If you do a lot of on-line shopping you know how difficult it can be to judge the quality and value of products. I do a lot of web searching for reviews and advice. I drop by retailers that have the same or similar products to what I'm looking for. My overall result in looking for a quality stainless steel range hood, in this configuration, was that Kobe stood out, so I ordered. It came on time, very well packaged, and (as shown after a thorough exam)in perfect condition. So far so good. It gets better. The stainless steel sheet metal work was beautiful--and it's all stainless, not just the part that shows. The exhaust routing and baffling are simple and well done. The quality and cleanability of the filters, also stainless steel, are excellent. The dual fans and motors are top quality, and perform as advertised: from a real "whisper" mode to high volume. This is an excellent product at a fair price. Based on this, I would not hesitate to buy another Kobe product.

This range hood replaced an old one, and it looks and works so much better. It is beautifully finished both top and bottom. Only trick to the installation was making the cutout to fit my 4x10 vent. Fans are quiet and powerful and have oil capture devices. The twin halogen lamps are somewhat dim, and do not feature adjustable brightness. Under-mounted light and fan controls are a little awkward.
