Rated 5 out of 5 by If it had wheels I'd drive it! Spent 5 weeks comparing Viking, Wolf, Thermador, Blue star, NXR, DCS, Bertrazzi, to replace our 15 yr old Five Star. Sealed vs open, etc. Fuel source is LP (there is a substantial BTU loss, ratings are all Natural Gas). The only comparable (but lessor) burner is on the Blue Star. The unit is pricey, but none compare. The rotisserie is fantastic, the self clean is amazing (you must have excellent outdoor ventilation [multiple windows] as the smoke pours out of the unit). The smoke mocked our dual motor Vent A Hood. The larger capacity oven is a plus as is the infra red broiler. I wish we had room for the 36 instead of the 30. Well worth the money. 9/10/11

Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the Cooktop, not as sure about the oven I've had my range for over 6 months now. I'll offer these observations in case they might be useful to someone else: My range has the three high performance burners and one low power burner on the back left. When I received the unit, I was originally disappointed to discover the lower power burner. However, after having cooked on it for some time I've come to realize that the lower power burner is essential. I have found that the lowest setting (simmer) on the high burners can still be a little much for some tasks: keeping mashed potatoes hot; slowly simmering pasta sauce; etc. I actually have a 12 qt stock pot full of chicken stock going on my cooktop right now. It's been running for over an hour on one of the high burners at the lowest (simmer) setting, and the temp is about 200 deg F. Without question, the high power performance of the cooktop is outstanding. The only thing I do on full power is try to bring a pot of water to a boil. My biggest disappointment is with the oven. I find the fan that kicks on after the range has been running for a while to be distractingly noisy. The interior height of the oven also seems limited compared to other ovens I'm used to. I frequently find myself taking one of the racks out when I want to have multiple pans going in the oven. I do a lot of meat cooking that starts on the cooktop and then finishes in the oven. That process obviously ends up with a lot of grease splatters on the broiler. Every time I try to use the broiler I end up with a smoke fest in the oven. It's a good thing that I bought a 900 cfm vent hood motor. I guess I need to be more diligent about cleaning the broiler surface. Cleaning the cooktop is probably more involved than for a unit with sealed burners, but I honestly don't mind doing it and love the performance. I find that I end up taking the top apart every 1-2 weeks to thoroughly clean. That's a trade I've been happy to make so far. If I had it to do all over again, I'd probably buy the cooktop only and buy a separate wall oven from another manufacturer. I honestly like my GE wall oven better for baking/roasting than the Culinarian range oven. 3/1/15
