Rated 5 out of 5 by Sleek & Stylish Range I highly recommend the GE Cafe Double Oven. I got it a few weeks ago after debating whether or not I could afford such a big purchase. Since I have limited storage in my small kitchen, I decided it would be worth it so I could store pots and pans in the lower, larger oven and bake in the upper oven. I have baked three different trays of food at two different temperatures simultaneously. It has been great! I also like the power boil feature. Ever since I've gotten this range, I have been cooking a lot more than I ever have before! I ended up installing a stainless steel backsplash to match the look of the range. I have gotten so many compliments on it. I love the rounded handles and the large knobs. I am so pleased with the look of it! I do have a few gripes. I have to move items on the counter away from the stove because the heat is definitely widely dispersed. I also notice that the heat is transferred on to handles of pots and pans. I didn't have that problem with my electric range. Just to note, I have not had a problem with the knobs getting too hot to touch as I had read in others' reviews. In addition, the stove top gets dirty too easily and is not fun to clean, but I wonder which range is the exception to that. I must have moved one of the gas covers when I cleaned the stove because it wouldn't light and I couldn't figure out why. I called AJ Madison and they set up a service appointment for me immediately. I ended up figuring out what the problem was so I cancelled the appointment, but it's comforting to know that GE's warranty is valid and AJ Madison is there for you after you make the purchase. Overall, I am thrilled with my purchase and very pleased with the price I got from AJ Madison. It was not the cheapest nationwide, but it was the least expensive in my region. From purchase to delivery to service calls, I have not been disappointed. After this purchase, I will not buy another appliance from the local big box store. I will go back to AJ Madison. 9/26/12
Rated 5 out of 5 Extremely pleased I purchased this model about two months ago after reading numerous reviews. I have nothing but great things to say about this range. The predominant negative in previous reviews concerned the fan noise. GE must have corrected this issue because the fan is barely audible at all. Both ovens cook great and the lower oven is large enough for any typical holiday cooking (turkey, etc,). AJ Madison was cheaper by $600 than other places i looked and there is no sales tax. I ordered online on a sunday evening and the product arrived Tuesday morning. I was pleasantly suprised with this company and will be purchasing the rest of the GE Cafe Series from them soon. 8/28/12

Rated 2 out of 5 by Uneven baking I love cooking again on a gas range. However, the lower oven does not bake evenly. I'm not a novice in the kitchen but my most recent greatly flawed project was an 11 x 17 cake today. By the time the front of the cake was baked, the rear was brown, dried and shrunken. Cookies bake faster in the rear, as well. Have been trying and re-trying for two months. A tech is coming to check on it and hopefully will find the solution. I'll let you know. 5/1/13
