For years Blomberg has been setting trends in both technology and style, and they continue to employ technologically advanced appliances, while still keeping the everday family life in mind.
Blomberg has always been on the cutting edge of technology, being the first company, in 1947, to produce a machine with less than 100 liters of water consumption. They have recently been given the Energy Award by the leading German consumer reporting magazine for most efficient appliances; as well as awards for innovation and ease of use.
As a widely recognized international name, Blomberg, has established themselves in the United States with production of dishwashers and refrigerators that are reasonably priced and are superior in features and quality. Rated 5 out of 5 by small kitchen Exactly what we wanted; but expensive
Arrived in 4 days via the midrange shipping method (don't remember the name they called it). Was exactly as pictured; SS in perfect shape with protective wrap, handles sturdy and straight. Though it wasn't included in my shipping service, the delivery guys took off the wrapping material for me and placed the fridge right where we wanted it in the kitchen.
Fridge started right up without any odd noises or issues. Shelves seemed sturdy enough and could be adjusted for height. We started using the wine bottle holder, which is a nice touch, but our cheap bottle savers started leaking, so we took that out...must get better bottle savers...
Freezer took most of our food, but because the guts of the fridge/freezer are directly behind the freezer portion, storage is not as deep as I'd hoped. We still fit bread loaves, mid-large sized plastic containers, ice packs, etc without any issues. The top portion of the freezer has a door that is flimsy, and the dedicated ice tray spot on the very top of the freezer is lower quality than expected. The horizontal piece is already bowed in the middle from the ice tray and I would not place additional ice trays there even though it appears that was their goal.
The unit is Prius-quiet, (sans engine, of course), with a slight hum. We have a very small house (<900sqft) and the noise is barely noticeable from 5 feet away. The auto defrost appears to be working great. Some days there will be a slight frost on the back of the inside of the fridge and it is usually completely gone within hours.
Fridge is more expensive than it 'could' be, but we couldn't find anything else on the market that was comparable is style and size, so we're very happy with the purchase and would make it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 Blomberg column refrigerator
I love the looks of the refrigerator. We previously had a monster refrigerator which took so much room in the kitchen. With this refrigerator, 24 inches wide and 24" deep, we gained so much space. We have, however, had a problem with putting the plate on the bottom of the refrigerator to cover the feet. We did not find instructions for it. I would appreciate someone giving some advice on how to install if there is anyone available. The refrigerator is on wheels and has two feet in the front used for leveling. One of the feet has two bolts and we cannot get the plate around it.
Otherwise, this is a great refrigerator and we are very happy.
