Bosch focuses on what matters most - quality and environmental responsibility.
What you do in the spotlight isn't the measure of your stature - it's what you do when no one is watching that truly counts. That's why Bosch engineers have challenged themselves to reduce the environmental impact of their products - without compromising performance. This commitment is reflected in superior-quality appliances with sleek, smart design and efficient, practical innovations that use less energy. And less water. Not because the world demanded it. But because they believe it should.
Fresh new technology for food preservation.
Preserving freshness is the most important function for refrigeration. At Bosch, they thought about how they could make it better by automatically keeping food fresher longer. Introducing VitaFresh. Available only on the Bosch French door refrigerator, VitaFresh works to protect the flavor, texture, and appearance of food. By keeping meat and dairy at their optimum temperature, and produce at its optimal humidity and temperature, they help preserve food budgets almost as well as the food.
This refrigerator uses 527 kWh/yr and has an estimated yearly operating cost of $58.44.
Your operating costs will depend on your utility rates and use. The estimated operating costs is based on a 2011 national average electricity cost of $0.1109 cents per kWh. For more information, visit www.ftc.gov/appliances.

If only we could have tried this frig out before purchase. 1. The icemaker cannot keep up with demand, but the worse thing is how it dispenses ice. When you first push the correct button, water comes out first, then ice. Then you either get too much and it overflows, or not enough.
The alarm function drives me insane. Obviously there are those times that the doors are open for awhile while putting items away, but when the alarm goes off before you are done, it is annoying. My previous frig, the door would close with one push, but this one you actuallly have to push closed. Don't like that feature. The look of this frig. is nice but we bought all Bosch frig., d/w, micorwave, and stove. Right after the one year period was up, the plastic painted stove knobs started showing wear and tear and cost $28.00 per knob to replace. The same thing will happen again. If you rub to clean, the surface just wipes away and you are left with white underneath. Also, there is a plastic that is on every appliance handle, and the d/w handle has already cracked and broke away after 13 months. I haven't even had the nerve to call and price what this will cost to replace but I am sure it won't be cheap!!Our dishwasher stinks if it's not run every 24 hours. Smells like rotten/stinkly food, etc. If I remember to put baking soda down in the drain, that helps, but I get nauseous when I open the door to put dishes in it. The microwave hasn't caused any problems for now. I'ts only myself and my husband that are in this house, so the appliances aren't being abused. I hope they last long enough so when we decide to sell, they don't need replaced. We will never make a purchase based on a name again.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by sizzler-boulder I just wanted a drink of water!
New, and out of the box. Ice maker did not work and water did not flow. Why?
Repair person, did a complete analysis and found the trouble after 45 minutes.
Crimp in the waterline. Needed to replace waterline, will take about two weeks.
Does anyone know how to get a service guide from Bosch?
