Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Range I purchased the ARROB636 during my kitchen renovation. I love cooking and wanted to have a commercial style range to aid in some of my culinary curiosities. I wish I could answer all of your possible questions but I will just tell you of my experience in finding a range. My parents have a Kitchenaid professional range that they bought about five years ago. It's a great range, sealed burners but high BTUs, I love cooking on it. We just bought a fixer upper that we got for such a good price that we could afford to put the kitchen of our dreams in. After searching forever for a 36" range I originally settled on the NXR, even ordering it from AJ Madison. Fortunately enough, the range was on backorder and it was going to take over a month, a month I really didn't have to wait due to contractors. I found the American Range only after looking at both Bertazzoni and Verona, and debating over both. If you search the web and especially some very helpful sites like gardenweb and chowhound you are not going to find much on the American Range. The reason this is is because American Range just got into the residential market. They have been a standard in the commercial market for quite a while. I really wanted an open burner range but couldn't afford, and was worried about the quality of the Bluestar Ranges (believe me there is a frenzied fan base of Bluestar people out there, but I don't buy strictly buy on internet suggestion alone and there are plenty of complaints out there regarding quality). I was worried about taking the plunge on the American Range due to the lack of information, but I was pleased when it arrived. I love their tagline, "we've civilized our commercial range". They have civilized it but not by much. This thing has 25k open burners, the highest on the market. The oven is huge and can hold full commercial sheet pans! The innovection oven is great for baking and with the dishwasher safe drip pans the cleanup is simple. This thing brings the heat! Working with AJ Madison was great! The shipping was fast and the shippers were very courteous. This was a great experience all around. 2/26/13
