This has been a GREAT purchase for my family. We LOVE the internal ice dispenser and bottom drawer ice and freezer. The drawers for deli, veggies andfruit are excellent. No problems since we bought in 2005.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Skys Mom Agree with review about the plastic parts
I agree with allot of the other reviews. I think it was a good purchase price, and arrived unscathed. My main resinating comment is that the plastic inside of the refrigerator is very flimsy. My chef door broke under normal, actually very light use, after only 18 to 24 months. I now have a big open space which looks messy and defeats its purpose. And of course it's not like you can order another one because it's the piece that holds the door in, and it has such cheap plastic it snapped off like a plastic spoon. It's the plastic that is intermolded into the base of the refrigerator. Because of this, my main reason for purchasing this model, I have to rate it at only 2 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by GEE Amana Freestanding Bottom Freezer
I've had this refrig for over a month now. I'm finding the bottom freezer does not freeze anywhere near as good as my top freezer refrigerator did. I'm not crazy about the pullout freezer drawer, you definetly loose a lot of space. I didn't want the water, but it came with it. It drips, so I taped a rubber finger protecter to it and don't use it at all. Otherwise, "the refrig looks pretty". I use my upright freezer for food that I want really, really frozen. They just don't make good products anymore, everything is cheaply made, too much plastic.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by msoto Extremely happy!
We bought this Amana French door/bottom freezer refrigerator in white. It has only been about 3 months, but we couldn't be happier. It is a beautiful refrigerator and soo spacious. Our prior fridge was a side-by-side and I was miserable with the tightness in the freezer, and food was frequently getting old because we would lose sight of it in the cramped freezer. No more with this spacious freezer! The fridge section is great too- very easy to see everything- spacious, bright and cools great. Love the large pullout drawer- even though it requires opening both fridge doors for access, the extra space it adds is will worth it! Lots of space on the door shelves too- even fits milk gallons! Our kids (7 and 10) love the filtered/cold water dispenser inside- makes it easy for them to refill their cups without having to handle the large water pitcher- and it means never running out of instant cold water for guests! We absolutely love the textured white finish too- we looked long and hard for that finish because it's prettier, easier to clean, never shows thumbprints and is very hard to find! Some people had mentioned it is noisy, but we haven't really noticed at all- only when the ice cubes fall into the tray, which is normal & we don't think that's any big deal. We actually find that the fridge motor is relatively quiet. Only design I'd change is the material used for th freezer trays (wired/tubular plastic)- solid plastic would look nicer and prevent any spills/crumbs from landing in the freezer bottom, which can be hard to reach. Overall, we would highly recommend this Amana fridge.
