SANYO: Your Best Choice in Ductless Split Air Conditioning Systems
Sanyo's Ductless Split Air Conditioner & Heat Pump products offer wide versatility in solving your cooling and heating requirements. The Indoor unit (evaporator) is mounted inside the room, enclosed in a handsome space saving cabinet. It is connected to the outdoor unit (condenser) via refrigerant lines & inter-unit wiring through a 3-1/2" opening in the wall. Since no ductwork is required, installation is simple, fast & efficient. There is no need to use up window space or cut large openings in existing walls, which could undermine the integrity of your structure, and even pose security risks. Since the Rotary compressor is located in the outdoor unit, compressor operating noise is virtually eliminated from the indoor. The indoor unit has been uniquely designed to provide Whisper Quiet operation while delivering comfort throughout the room(s). In addition, rotary compressors provide efficient, powerful cooling at the lowest noise levels in the industry.
DC INVERTER is outstanding for its RAPID COOLING & HEATING POWER. As soon as the temperature is reached, it automatically adjusts current frequency temperature fluctuation. It also provides "ENERGY-SAVING" (which saves your electricity charges) as well as "QUIETER OPERATION".
Auto Louver Function Provides Optimum Airflow during Heating or Cooling Operation
Auto louver function is a standard feature which provide optimum during heating or cooling operation. Angle of louver is automatically set for heating or cooling. For example, when heating with fan speed set to low, the discharge is aimed downward so that warm air reaches the floor. The louver angle can be set to between 4° above and 80° below the horizontal in five steps. An auto sweep function to distribute the airflow over a wide area is also provided. Wind direction is adjusted automatically in both heating and cooling operation. The louver can also be set to swing automatically from F1 to F5 in any operation mode (heat pump type only).
Fresh Air Intake Capability & Duct Extension
Ceiling Suspended models have the capability of bringing fresh air from outside using an air intake duct (field supplied).
Quiet Operation
The ceiling-mounted unit is equipped with a highly efficient, multi-blade centrifugal fan that generates a powerful yet gentle airflow throughout the room. A redesigned aerodynamically tested louver structure minimizes operational sound even at high fan speed.
Improved Serviceability/ Easy Installation
External suspension method. Installation time can be shortened. Improved accessibility to electronic components (control box) for serving.
Low Ambient Cooling Operation
The unit can set for cooling even when the outdoor temperature drops to 41 degrees F (5 degrees C). This is ideal for locations that require cooling even in winter.
Low ambient cooling refers to maintaining high-side pressure in the condenser at normal levels at low outdoor ambient temperature by the provision of a reversible cooling fan. Cooling air is then directed across the condenser in the conventional direction when the high-side pressure is above a predetermined level and diminishing the volume of cooling air flow across the condenser when the high-side pressure is below a predetermined level.
NOTE: A ductless split unit must be installed by a licensed HVAC (Heating ventilation air conditioning) Contractor.

- Details of previous warnings are stored and can be verified on the liquid crystal display.
- This makes it easier to diagnose malfunctions, greatly reducing service labor. (Wired remote controller)
- By coupling compressor and fan operation, intermittent operation can be precisely controlled according to room temperature, so that air is efficiently dehumidified.
- Convenient microprocessor control automatically adjusts fan speed to High, Medium or Low, according to room temperature to maintain a comfortable airflow throughout the room.
- The air sweep function moves the louver up and down in the air outlet, directing air in a "sweeping" motion around the room and providing comfort in every corner.
- Louver can be manually set to the desired angle by remote control.
- After setting the temperature and functions you desire, just relax.
- If the room temperature is higher than the set temperature, cooling operation begins.
- If the room temperature is lower than the set temperature, heating operation begins.
- During normal thermostat cycle operation, cooling and heating operations automatically change in accordance with set temperature, time and room temperature. (Heat Pump unit only)
- Right from the start, air is warm and comfortable.
- The Hot Start Heating System prevents any cold blasts at the beginning while the heat pump is warming up. (Heat Pump unit only)
- The remote control unit allows you to set a wide variety of timer-based operations.
- Such functions include automatic ON/OFF with a timer setting, same time ON/OFF every day, ON timer, OFF timer and Combination Timer.
- ON/OFF timer can be set to 0.5 hour gradations (max. 72 hours).
- Used in combination with remote controllers, the system controller can control up to 64 groups of indoor units (max. 64 indoor units)
- Separating the 64 indoor units into 4 zones, zone can be controlled individually
- Up to 16 groups (indoor units) can be registered to each zone
- Collective control and individual group (unit) control can also be performed
- System without remote controller is also available
- Up to 2 system controllers (1 main, 1 sub) can be installed in a system
- Alarm and operation outputs for an external collected signal are available (potential free contact)
- Filter is treated with anti-mold chemicals to prevent mold or bacteria from occurring.
- Filter sign informs you when filter maintenance is necessary.
- 2,500 hrs: X, T-types
- 150 hrs: K-type
- This feature allows the system to automatically resume operation at its preset program, after power is restored from a power failure.
- Bringing fresh air from outside using an air intake duct (field supplied)
- The unit can set for cooling even when the outdoor temperature drops to 41 degrees F (5 degrees C).
- This is ideal for locations that require cooling even in winter.
- The circulation volume of the refrigerant is controlled by a pulse type electric control valve.
- In order to attain optimum efficiency, when the power is switched ON, the opening degree of the electric control valve is controlled between 90 and 480 steps. (Ceiling Recessed Models Only)
