At Heartland, they have an interesting theory about the people that buy their appliances. They don't try and tell their customers what they want. Rather, they give them what they desire. They truly recognize that individual tastes are just that - very individual. They make every appliance with unrivalled craftsmanship and technical perfection but that does leave you with a difficult decision. Will it be the Classic Collection, the Legend Series or the Metro Series? Then again, you probably already know.
Describe the Classic Collection. The word romantic is an obvious choice. It's the romance that draws people who care about fine craftsmanship, detailing such as lustrous nickel plated trim and the option of having butter yellow or vivid red. For those that like to feel the durability of solid cast iron and steel construction as they open and close the oven door. For those who appreciate the curves of nickel plated legs, the shape of the handles, and the way the vintage oven temperature gauge perfects the look. And maybe, just maybe, the Classic Collection is for those who simply want their kitchen to be the true heart of their home.
If you are having difficulty deciding between the Heartland Electric or Gas Range, choose both. The Dual Fuel Range offers the power and precision of the gas cooktop combined with the efficiency and convenience of the roomy electric convection oven. Convection cooking lets you experience faster and more flavorful results. In their state-of-the-art system, a powerful fan draws hot air around the food for quick and even cooking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Captain Kilawatt Some problems
This stove arrived on our doorstep but wouldn't work. After many calls to the manufacturer, we finally got someone to service it. Since there are many electronics, the cables are "plug and play". Turns out that three of the cables were plugged in the wrong place. I wonder how this stove passed their quality control, if any.
With the electonics fixed, it's operated fine. Only complaint is that the variable speed hood fan is very loud even on lowest and my wife hates the noise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by stove man Installation instruction needs help
Love this product but when we went to install the hood through our granite back splash the instructions said a 10” X 3 ½” but the part out of the stove is 14” x 3 ½”. I called and asked if the backsplash should run across the stove and got no help from Heartland no one there had any idea how to do it or where I could see photos or images of an installation. So I winged it and believe that I did the right thing but do wish I had the right information for the granite cut out for the hood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sarah gorgeous looking range
I began looking at this range because the previous owner of our house had it and took it with her when she left. She had the kitchen designed for this freestanding range and it looked like something was missing when she replaced it with a regular range. Here are my thoughts on this appliance:
1. It is very nice looking. Everyone who comes in to my kitchen comments on how gorgeous it looks.
2. The backsplash seems a little on the flimsy side. I feel like it doesn't support the top section well enough. When I open the door to use any of the functions or look at the clock, it just seems like it's not very sturdy. I would expect a lot more sturdiness for the price we paid for it.
3. I love the gas cooktop. It works well and is nice looking. I am a little concerned about the knobs being on the cooktop. I wonder as time goes on if I will be able to keep them very clean looking.
4. I haven't tried the convection feature of the oven yet but I have noticed that I have to turn the temperature down about 25 degrees or more (depending on what I'm cooking) than my recipes call for. Generally if I am cooking bread-type things, I turn the temperature down 25 degrees and use stoneware and I don't have any problems with burning the bottoms of things. I don't mind a learning curve with this new appliance.
5. The chrome accents are very susceptible to smudges and fingerprints. Although it's quite easy to clean, just a few wipes with a clean soft cloth, but beware you will be cleaning it every single time you or someone else touches it!
I bought this piece primarily for looks so I'm not disappointed on that account. Considering everything as a whole, I think it's a little too expensive for what your getting. If your looking for looks and an appliance that works reasonably well and have extra money to spend then this is your appliance. If you are looking for value, easy to keep clean and excellent performance then you should probably keep looking.
