MicroFridge is a product of Intirion Corporation. Intirion, focuses on the development of products for small space living environments. Back in 1987, they invented the MicroFridge brand refrigerator/freezer/microwave combination appliance to solve the problem of overloaded circuits at colleges and universities, hotels, military facilities and assisted living residences. Their patent-pending Safe Plug technology uses about half the electricity of 2 separate appliances and reduces the risk of circuit overloads. With their one plug to the wall operation, it frees up outlets since just one plug goes into the wall socket to operate the refrigerator, freezer and microwave oven. Available at AJ Madison.
Since their inception, MicroFridge has sought innovative ways to fulfill customer needs. They have a proud history of pioneering new technology throughout their industry. To address the ever-growing need to conveniently re-charge personal electronic devices, MicroFridge developed a Dual Charging Station located on the front of the microwave. Using their patent-pending Safe Plug power management system, energy is allocated to the Dual Charging Station as well as the refrigerator and microwave to solve the problem of overloaded electrical circuits.
This refrigerator uses 309 kWh/yr. and has an estimated yearly operating cost of $34.27.
Your operating costs will depend on your utility rates and use. The estimated operating cost is based on a 2011 national average electricity cost of $0.1109 cents per kWh.
